mattia.a is a man with a camera who takes pictures of people and little things.

He likes to find the small light when it is hidden in obscure spots, and the geometry of the opposites when they reveal some kind of symmetry.

He took the pictures you are going to see a few years ago, from 1991 to 2000 when he used to work as an assistant photographer for a local newspaper while studying to become an engineer.

Almost all photographs here have been taken with a Nikon FE2 with Nikon optics and no zooms at all. All shots have been made on film, no digital images.

Black&white T-Max 400 films have been rolled up, often underexposed up to 6400 ASA, developed and printed on paper in home-made black rooms during long nights in the 90's.

The result of his work is presented here, with the hope that this portfolio will let others feel the same need to see all the little things.
